Leon Chen Announced as Winner of the 9th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards

Los Angeles, California, June 28, 2018 – The M&A Advisor announced the winners of the Emerging Leaders Awards on Tuesday, June 26th.

The M&A Advisor, renowned globally for its recognition of leading M&A, financing and turnaround professionals, created this event to promote mentorship and professional development amongst the emerging business leaders.

Leon Chen has been chosen for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders.

Leon Chen is a managing director for Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors’ growth private equity activities. He is primarily responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, monitoring of portfolio companies, and deal execution. His areas of investment focus include software and tech-enabled businesses across media and telecom, business services, supply chain and logistics, and healthcare. Mr. Chen currently sits on the board of six portfolio companies for Kayne Partners.

Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2012, Mr. Chen was the director of business development at Relativity Media, a film financing and production company based in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he held positions at Clarity Partners, a Los Angeles-based middle market private equity firm and at Citigroup in the investment banking division in New York. While at Clarity Partners and Citigroup, Mr. Chen focused on transactions in the media, telecommunications, and business services industries.

Mr. Chen earned a B.B.A in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
