Andrew DeYoung is a managing director of business development and product specialist for Kayne Anderson’s growth capital and secondaries strategies. DeYoung is responsible for working with the partners overseeing and managing fundraising processes and business development efforts. DeYoung is also involved in identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, assisting with monitoring of portfolio companies, and serving on several Boards. DeYoung also supports the firm’s partnerships with Saints Capital on the Saints Secondaries Fund and NewRoad Capital Partners on the Kayne NewRoad Ventures Fund.
When DeYoung initially joined the firm, he worked as a special advisor to Ric Kayne, Chairman of Kayne Anderson and as chief operating officer of Jenni Kayne, an LA based lifestyle and fashion brand. Prior to Kayne Anderson, DeYoung worked with DW Investments, LLC, a family investment firm in Chicago focused on real estate, private equity and venture fund and direct investing. DeYoung also worked with Gemstone Real Estate Partners, responsible for sourcing and analyzing office and industrial real estate investment opportunities. DeYoung’s career began as an associate in the healthcare investment banking group at GCA Global, an international full-service investment bank that was acquired by Houlihan Lokey..
DeYoung earned a B.A. magna cum laude in Psychology from Brown University in 2005.
