Russell Reiter is general counsel for Kayne Anderson’s real estate group, responsible for oversight of all of Kayne Anderson’s legal matters related to the acquisition, development, management, and disposition of real estate investments.
Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2011, Reiter was an associate in Jones Day’s New York real estate group, where his experience included working on design and construction of developments, single asset and portfolio acquisitions/dispositions, real estate joint ventures, sale-leasebacks, build-to-suits, ground leases and other leasing transactions, loan originations and workouts (representing both borrowers and lenders), real estate fund formations, construction risk analysis and property management. His clients have included REITs, developers, private equity funds, institutional investors, high net worth individuals, public companies and financial institutions. Reiter has over 30 years of real estate experience and has been practicing real estate law for more than 20 years.
Reiter earned a B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Reiter is admitted to practice law in New York.
